# Student Affairs Announcements

Students apply to study abroad for one term and complete the application process during their sophomore or junior year to go abroad in the junior or senior year.  Study abroad experienced is a plus when applying for jobs and fellowships such as the NSF graduate study fellowships which put 50% of the selection weight on a student’s broader impact on the world.

Graduating seniors who meet eligibility requirements for grade point and citizenship can consider applying for prestigious fellowships for graduate study in the U.S. or abroad.  These fellowships are sponsored by private foundations and the U.S. or foreign government agencies.  Students and parents can go to http://www.fasa.caltech.edu to find out more about these prestigious fellowships for graduate study.
