Caltech Elects New Member to Board of Trustees

PASADENA, Calif.—Lynn Booth, a philanthropist from Los Angeles, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) as a senior trustee.

Booth is president of the Otis Booth Foundation, which supports philanthropic causes in Southern California. The foundation was established in honor of her late husband, Otis Booth, a philanthropist and businessman who received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Caltech in 1944. Lynn Booth is also president of Evening Star Foundation, a philanthropic organization.

Booth serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the House Research Institute, the Blue Ribbon, the Colleagues, and the World Affairs Council. She is a trustee emeritus of Chapman University and a member of the Los Angeles Library Foundation and the Pacific Council on International Policy.

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Caltech. The Board is led by Kent Kresa, chair, and vice chairs David L. Lee and Ronald K. Linde, and is currently composed of 41 trustees, 11 senior trustees, 24 life members, and one honorary life member.
